Maple Hill

Maple Hill

Grassroots kicks off on Friday, April 25 with hot music that will get your heart pumping and your feet tappin’. Haunting and joyous melodies. Beautiful harmonies. Honkin’ mandolin. Wailin’ banjo. Songs of love, murder and betrayal. That’s bluegrass — the original grassroots music. Three soulful bands — Maple Hill and The Monroe Sisters — will inject their passion into your ears. Gary Greenland and Maple Hill have delivered much loved workshops at Grassroots and now you get to hear them in concert. Concession 23 is an award winning band and The Monroe Sisters are the newest bluegrass band in town, featuring Garry’s daughter Kate Greenland on mandolin and vocals. The melting of your heart will commence with an opening concert by Sparrows, a choir led by Chris White of home schooled children between 4 and 8 years old who love to sing.
