The 2014 Ottawa Grassroots Festival (OGF) announces the legendary James Keelaghan will be this year’s Saturday evening headliner. The Royal Canadian Legion, Montgomery Branch, at 330 Kent Street will host the Festival on the weekend of April 25-27, 2014. Keelaghan, a Juno Award winning singer-songwriter, has an uncanny knack for turning incredible historical events into finely crafted songs relevant to us now. One of Canada’s most successful and respected musicians and a bright star globally, he tours across North America, Europe, the UK and Australia.
The Ottawa Grassroots Founder and Producer, Bob Nesbitt, is very excited to be organizing the Festival for a third year. “I am thrilled to be able to welcome James Keelaghan as an evening performer,” said Nesbitt. “To have James headlining this affordable festival along with the other top-notch entertainment is a treat,” added Nesbitt. “All the day-time activities are free and designed to appeal to everyone while the evening performances will be ticketed. We have lots of other surprises coming that you’ll want to know about so follow us on our website , Facebook and Twitter.“
