Irish Millie is a 17-year old fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist from Peterborough Ontario. She has toured in Europe, the USA and the East Coast of Canada. Her first album entitled Thirteen garnered her a 2022 Canadian Folk Music Award nomination in the category of Young Performer of the Year. She was nominated for the same award again in 2023 for her work with her band The Receivers and just announced in 2024 for her EP The Trilogy. Millie is honoured to be named Peterborough Folk Fest's 2023 Emerging Artist of the Year! Millie specializes in many genres including East Coast, Bluegrass and Contemporary Trad music. She has experience teaching and running sessions at festivals. She is currently working on completing her second album which will feature all her own compositions.
