Lucky Ron did his first paying gig in 1969. He continued his long career in music, playing throughout the Ottawa Valley, on both sides of the Ottawa River He took the Stage name Lucky Ron in 1986. He was covering two gigs for a fellow musician Lucky Jim. Jim did not return. It has been 38 years, plus. His consistency and charity work earned him the honor of being awarded the Order of Ottawa 2014. He is considered a Local Icon, with his hard hitting classic country guitar and vocals. His good nature and sense of humor have made him a Legend.
